Meet Our Leadership Team
Leah Holowesko
President

Upon graduating from Central Connecticut State University in June of 2006 and attaining her Accounting degree, Mrs. Holowesko promptly joined the RMI team. Starting out as a staff consultant, Mrs. Holowesko became HDI certified and attained numerous Microsoft accolades making her a highly decorated certified Microsoft Professional.

Mrs. Holowesko has worked with every department within the company making her an asset to any employee within the organization and the management team as well as RMI’s software solution, ADVANTAGE 365. Her previous industry experience, innovative problem solving and customer service have been paramount in her success at RMI.

Currently, Mrs. Holowesko’s duties involve senior consultant functions, acclimating new team members, monitoring client services staff and RMI’s celebrated SLA, and most importantly making sure that RMI’s customers receive quality software & support.

Ahmad Fawad
Manager of Development

In 2008, Ahmad Fawad joined RMI as a member of the Development Team.  Ahmad has since grown into his current position as Manager of Development and plays an integral role in managing all technical and back end activities while overseeing RMI’s team of developers to optimize and improve functionality within ADVANTAGE 365. Mr. Fawad’s deep understanding of Microsoft products, specifically Business Central, and project management stems from more than 20 years of software development experience allowing him to excel by delivering innovative customer-centric solutions. Mr. Fawad earned his Bachelor’s degree of Science and Engineering before his post graduate work as a database design specialist.

Mr. Fawad’s approach to challenge the boundaries of software development has helped ADVANTAGE 365 surpass the traditional boundaries of ERP software and build a powerful reputation for RMI within the software community.  Ahmad is constantly exploring and delivering innovative system updates, improved functionality, modifications, add-ons, and upgrades.

Mr. Fawad’s deep understanding of ADVANTAGE 365’s technical intricacies coupled with extensive knowledge of end user expectations underlies his commitment to improving the platform’s functionality, efficiencies and user experience.

Matt Atkins
Client Services Engineer

In 2014, Matt earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Eastern Connecticut State University. He subsequently joined the RMI Team as a staff consultant, where he achieved numerous successful implementations of ADVANTAGE 365.

During his time at RMI, Matt diligently pursued multiple Microsoft Certifications to remain up to date on the latest updates and features offered by Microsoft. This proactive approach ensures he delivers optimal support to RMI’s team and clientele.

Through his demonstrated expertise and commitment to fostering strong client relationships, Matt advanced to his current role as Client Services Engineer. In this capacity, he serves as a pivotal liaison between customers, the client services team, and the development team, dedicated to the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of ADVANTAGE 365.

Notably, Matt is presently overseeing all upgrades to ADVANTAGE 365, a platform built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Justin Ferrari
Senior Cloud and Infrastructure Administrator

Justin Ferrari graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2012 with a degree in Business Information Systems. Immediately after graduation, he joined RMI, beginning his career as a staff consultant to familiarize himself with the software.

Quickly advancing into the IT department, Mr. Ferrari has played a crucial role in the technological evolution of RMI’s product. His responsibilities include maintaining and developing back-end infrastructure and implementing new technologies to enhance the company’s offerings. His work has been instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of RMI’s systems.

Mr. Ferrari’s expertise in cloud and infrastructure administration has made him an invaluable asset to the team. His commitment to innovation and excellence continues to drive the company’s success in providing top-notch software solutions and support to its customers.

The History of RMI
Equipment Rental, Sales,& Service Software Since 1983

1983

RMI is founded

RMI Corporation was founded by Paul R. Chapdelaine to deliver complete management accounting solutions for mid-market companies throughout the United States.

1984

RMI expands into equipment rentals and software development

Operations expanded into the computer rental business. Realizing there was no suitable equipment rental solution RMI set out to build a system to automate the businesses’ inventory and rental order processing.

The result became the initial version of Rental ADVANTAGE, one of the first dedicated equipment rental solutions.

1990

RMI has their first rental software sale

Another local computer rental shop came to us looking to purchase a copy of our software. We licensed a copy of RealWorld/Rental ADVANTAGE and proceeded to sell additional copies to other computer rental shops in the area

1991

Word about ADVANTAGE rental software spreads

Word-of-mouth brought a trailer rental company from Tom’s River NJ to us for a copy of our software. They became our first trailer rental customer and we subsequently released ADVANTAGE to many other categories in the equipment rental industry.

1996

RMI partners with Microsoft

With the goal of developing a Windows version of our software, RMI’s ADVANTAGE solution was released with Microsoft Dynamics – NAV. 

We continued on our path to increase functionality for businesses that not only provided rentals, but also offered sales, service, or parts along with other offerings.

RMI had now fully transformed into a software provider rather than an equipment provider.

2002

RMI continues to grow and establish itself as a leader in the software industry

Microsoft named RMI’s ADVANTAGE Solution as its Industry Solution for the equipment rental, sales and service industry.

2004

RMI goes gold with Microsoft

Microsoft names RMI ISV Partner of the Year. We also earned Gold Certified Partner standing, which we still hold today.

Microsoft Certified Partners are required to meet the highest criteria, including a portfolio of real-world customer references.

As Gold Certified – RMI is listed among the most skilled partners in specific solution areas.

2005

RMI holds their place and continues to grow

RMI is named to the Microsoft Business Solutions President’s Club for the ninth consecutive year.

Also in 2005, RMI reaches 200 installations with 3,000 concurrent users on the ADVANTAGE Solution

2007

RMI becomes the first

RMI is the first to release and market a cloud-based Microsoft Dynamics NAV industry solution in the United States.

ADVANTAGE Live, launched via the SaaS model, addresses market demands to control IT costs with cutting edge productivity tools, available anywhere, anytime.

2009

ADVANTAGE 2009 is released

ADVANTAGE 2009 is released, ushering in new era of employee productivity including innovative Role Centers designed for specific job responsibilities.

ADVANTAGE becomes the only Rental, Sales and Service application to earn Microsoft’s Certified for Dynamics NAV 2009 accreditation.

2010

RMI goes all-in on the cloud

RMI announces that we are “all-in” under the cloud. Cloud computing, with its many benefits and cost savings, is fast becoming the preferred way of doing business.

2011

ADVANTAGE goes mobile

RMI announced support for ADVANTAGE users accessing the solution via an iPad.

Later in the year RMI releases Mobile Users, enabling access from anywhere through any web browser enabled device. With the introduction of Mobile Users, RMI released advanced barcode functionality, streamlining warehouse and rental technicians’ processes.

2013

Three decades of innovation

Celebrating 30 years in business! For over 3 decades, RMIs innovation in designing business systems and outstanding services culminates in another record year of new customers onto our Advantage Cloud solution.

2014

RMI ADVANTAGE is in use by over 6,000 worldwide users

RMI continues to deliver on their 10-year release plan with quarterly updates and a full system upgrade for all cloud customers, without any additional fees.

2019

Fullsteam ahead

RMI joins forces with Fullsteam, a leader in integrated payments and vertical software solutions for small and mid-size businesses.

2022

ADVANTAGE 365 earns Microsoft Business Central certification

Advancing RMI’s ongoing 28-year relationship with Microsoft the company earns Certification for Microsoft Business Central.
